Cooking for Underprivileged People in Vietnam – 14 Days
Vietnam is a country that is rich in traditional culture with beautiful landscapes and friendly people. And it is becoming one of Asia’s premier travel destinations. However, Vietnam is still a poor country and there are many people who are living in difficult circumstances. Especially, people who are affected cancer diseases, they do not have money to buy medicine and food to their diseases treatment in hospitals. So we built up Cooking for Underprivileged People Project to help unlucky persons who have sharing and support from community and people around the world. When you join this project, you can get also experience with local community activities to help them and your help will play a valuable role in the overall development of community where you come and help them.

Day 01: Arrival
Welcome to Vietnam! Today you will be met person in charge at the airport and taken directly to the accommodation which will be your home for the duration of your stay in Vietnam. You will have the rest of the day to rest and recover from your journey. If you are feeling adventurous you can head out and start exploring your surroundings!
Day 02: Orientation and free time
Your orientation will take place at the hotel/local office where you’re staying in Hanoi. All new arrivals will have their orientation together, and this will cover important information such as what it’s going to be like on your trip and at the project, dos and don’ts, fun things to do in Vietnam, a language lesson and how to stay safe on your trip. You will also have a walking tour of the city to get you more acquainted with your new home! This is your prime opportunity to ask any burning questions that you haven’t yet had answered and to meet your fellow volunteers!
Day 3: Introductions at your project
Today you’ll be up bright and early for the first day at your project! Today is all about settling in and getting to know your way around. The local team will introduce you to the staff at Cooking for underprivileged people Center who will be your day-to-day contacts. You’ll spend the rest of the day learning the ropes and starting to get involved with some volunteering.
Day 4 - 13: Time to get involved!
Now’s the time to get stuck in. You’ll be working alongside Vietnamese volunteer members and will be involved in a wide variety of tasks depending on the needs of the center. You could be cooking meals, washing foods, vegetables and then you could be bring foods to deliver to poor and cancer patients whospital in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Maybe you can join outside activities with cancer children in hospital and singing and dancing, teaching English, playing games and giving cuddles, or helping with the day to day.
Day 14: Departure
There is no activity planned for today, so you are free to enjoy your time souvenir shopping until you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
