Project duration: Up to eight weeks
Location of project: Various locations across Hanoi & HCMC
Arrival airport: Noi Bai & Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Airport Code HAN – SGN),
Working hours: Flexible; usually Monday to Friday, up to 8 hours a day; all other time is free.

As a volunteer, you will be involved in various activities within the school. You may be asked to assist in teaching English to the primary school children, helping them develop methods of communication and improving their speech. You may also be involved in teaching and working alongside local teachers to provide more opportunities for the children to develop their English. If you wish, you will also be able to join in games and activities with the children .

How to get to the project: Depending on location; 30 minutes -1 hour taxi ride (please budget approximately US$80 per week)
Requirements: Minimum age 18

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi

Welcome to Vietnam! Today you will be met at the airport and taken directly to the accommodation which will be your home for the duration of your stay in Vietnam. You will have the rest of the day to rest and recover from your journey. If you are feeling adventurous you can head out and start exploring your surroundings!


Day 2: Orientation & Free time (B/L)

Today you’ll be up bright and early for your first day your project! Today is all about settling in and getting to know your way around. The local team will introduce you to the staff at the orphanage who will be your day-to-day contacts. You’ll spend the rest of your day learning the ropes and starting to get involved with some volunteering.


Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (L)

Hoa Lu ancient capital is the tourist destination which will bring you to a few of culture and history of Vietnam capitals in the ancient and medieval eras. The area is also one of outstanding beauty natural with limestone peaks whose splendor is often said to surpass that of Ha Long bay. Hoa Lu & Tam Coc is regarded as the Ha Long bay on land. You will join group tour with other travellers.

AM : 8:00 – 8:30. Our guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quater, then leave by coach to Hoa Lu (2.5 hrs). Visit the historic capital of Viet Nam and the famous ancient temples of Le and the Dinh Dynasties. Then our bus will transfer you from Hoa Lu to Tam Coc for lunch around at

PM : After lunch, boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the karst formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Then, cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc – Bich Dong (around 5 km). Dive back to Ha Noi and drop off at your hotel around at 18:00PM.


Day 4: Introduction at your project

Today you’ll be up bright and early for your first day your project! Today is all about settling in and getting to know your way around. Day 5 – 8: Time to get involved

You’ll spend 1 week living and teaching in the local community; putting your training to good use planning and delivering English lessons to classes of young students.

The level of English is usually quite low, but English literacy is a huge help for your students’ futures in an economy dominated by tourism. You’ll make a real difference to your students’ lives!

During your teaching experience you’ll have our expert staff just a phone call away and a support network at your school. Your evenings and weekends will be free to spend as you wish.


Day 9: Hanoi – Halong Bay (L/D)

Experience Halong Bay short excursion of 2 day 1 night covering most famous visiting spots of the Bay or choose 3 day 2 night itinerary to stay longer and truly discover the beauty of the World Heritage natural wonder. We have our own comfortable waiting lounge and private dock that offers guests comfort and convenience. The designed cruising loops are covering more areas of the bay with quiet overnight anchoring spot! You will join group tour with other travellers.

07:45 – 08:00 Pick-up at your hotel and depart for Halong city.

12:00 – 12:15 On arrival at Halong city, you will board your Imperial Classic Cruise and you are warmly welcomed by professional and friendly crew. Check into cabin.

13:00 Enjoy specially prepared lunch while cruising towards thousands of amazing limestone islands emerging from emerald water, passing by Stone Dog islet, floating fishing village, incense burner islet, fighting cocks islet,…

15:30 Exploring Hoa Cuong cave or Marble cave, newly discovered.

16:00 Kayaking for an hour or more through slide rock cliffs.

17:30 Swimming time, this is great chance to relax in water, jumping, diving, take a back flip, somersault.

19:00 Enjoy dinner.

20:30 Evening activities like singing karaoke, dancing, squid fishing, playing cards or relax at leisure


Day 10: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L)

 07:00 Breakfast, coffee, tea, fruits will be served.

08:00 Check Out and start cruising further to discover the hidden charm of the bay, taking photos many islets with outstanding shapes as frog island, turtle island,…

10:00 Cooking class opened right on the cruise for all the people are interested in cooking, especially cooking Vietnamese food.

11:15 Farewell lunch served on the cruise before you arrive at harbor

12:30 Get on the bus back to Hanoi

16:30 Transfer you back to your hotel. The tour ends


Day 11 - 13: Time to get involved

Now’s the time to get stuck into some volunteering. You’ll be working alongside the full time Vietnamese staff members and will be involved in a wide variety of tasks depending on the needs of the orphanage. You could be singing and dancing, teaching English, playing games and giving out cuddles, or helping with the day to day running of the orphanage. You’ll get out what you put in, so don’t be afraid to use your initiative and get involved!


Day 14: Departure

There is no activity planned for today so you are free to enjoy your free time and go souvenir shopping and relax until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
